FACOTIL – Fabrica de Colas e Tintas, S.A. certified in accordance with norm NP EN ISO 9001:2015.

Family owned company with the size of an SME, established in 1986.

Its industrial activity in the manufacture of paints, varnishes, and glues, started in the parent company (SPD – Sociedade Portuense de Drogas, S.A.) founded in 1953 and later continued by FACOTIL.

The company’s industrial unit and headquarters are located in a total area of 70 000 m2, with approximately 25 000 m2 indoor, owned by SPD group, located in Gondomar (about 10 km from the city of Porto).

In 1997, FACOTIL started the production of thermosetting powder coatings, currently having an installed production capacity of approximately 1800 ton/year.

In 1998, it obtained the approval of the “Qualicoat” quality brand license for the products “thermosetting powder coatings”. Continuing and reinforcing its quality policy, FACOTIL reaches in 2003 the status of a company with certification of the Quality Management System, according to the ISO 9001: 2000 norm.

In 2005 it also started its industrial activity in Angola, with a paint, varnish, and glue manufacturing unit, located in Luanda.

In December 2010, FACOTIL acquired an industrial unit for the production of bituminous waterproofing membranes and asphalt-based products, located in Avintes (Vila Nova de Gaia) and later transferred to Gondomar.

The main products manufactured by FACOTIL are marketed under the “TRIUNFANTE” brand and are mainly intended for the professional sector and the general public,

The main users of “TRIUNFANTE” products in the industrial sector are contractors, wood working companies, and furniture and medium metal mechanics, not only from the national market but also in Spain, France, Germany, and Portuguese speaking countries.

With the goal of respecting and preserving the environment, we continue to invest in new products with cleaner technologies, namely in the areas of powder, aqueous, and solvent-based high solids (low VOC content).
